Aaron Clark

Senior Associate

Aaron joined the Trilby Misso Team in April 2010 having worked in this area of law for over two years acting for both insurers and plaintiffs in that time. His knowledge of both sides brings an insight into how to achieve the best outcome possible for his clients. He holds a Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and maintains an active interest through his membership of the Australian Lawyers Alliance and the Queensland Law Society. Aaron is assisted in his day-to-day activities by a paralegal, secretary and administrative assistant.

Robyn Davies

Principal Lawyer

Job satisfaction for Robyn is about helping to make a difference in the lives of the clients she represents. Armed with years of legal experience and graduating with a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts, as well as post graduate Diplomas in Legal Practice and in Education, Robyn is not one to do anything by halves. Robyn was an English teacher prior to becoming a lawyer, which may explain her interest in making the language of the law more simple and accessible to everyone. Robyn is also a member of both the Queensland Law Society, Women Lawyers Association (Queensland) and Australian Lawyers Alliance, and is assisted by her team of of two paralegals, two secretaries and an administrative assistant.

Peter Hall

Practice Group Leader

Peter has been working at Trilby Misso since 2002.  He manages and mentors a team of lawyers with expertise in our specialist area of practice, and a passion for achieving the best results for our clients. Peter's commitment to safeguarding the rights of individuals extends beyond the office. He is a committee member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance and is the chair of an industry group representing the interests of claimants that liaises with insurance companies and an insurance industry commission on a regular basis. Peter is also a member of the Queensland Law Society.

Affectionately known as Olly, Olamide has built a reputation for service with a smile since joining Trilby Misso in 2005. Lawyer

Lee joined Trilby Misso in August 2011. Lisa Rennie

Lawyer and General Manager

Lisa has had a long involvement in all aspects of our specialist area of practice, and a strong empathy with people who seek justice through the legal system for the suffering they have endured. She enjoys helping people pursue their legal rights through the maze of complex laws. Lisa joined Trilby Misso in mid 2004 and is the firm’s General Manager. She also manages and mentors a team of lawyers and undertakes claims within her own portfolio. She has a Bachelor of Laws and International Business, and is a member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance, Queensland Law Society and Women Lawyers Association (Qld). Lisa keeps on top of her knowledge base with active participation in the industry associations.

Tran Truong

Renee Zackeresen

Joining Trilby Misso in 2005, Renee enjoys the continual learning curve the legal profession presents, and works to ensure her clients benefit from any new legal provisions handed down. She also manages our legal knowledgebase and assists in developing new precedents upon changes in legislation. As a Lawyer, Renee is dedicated to achieving the right outcome for her clients. Tony Hanmer

Chairman

Tony joined the board of directors in January 2008. He was previously a Senior Vice President and Director of McCann Erickson Worldwide, where he was also responsible for 29 offices in 17 countries as Regional Director Asia and South Pacific.

With 25 years' leadership experience, and a strong track record of acquisitions and leveraging new technologies to build competitive organisations, Tony advises Trilby Misso on strategy, marketing and research. Tony sits on boards of numerous private companies, a not-for-profit organisation and on a government board. Tony is also a member of the People and Performance Committee.

Ron Higham

Non-Executive Director

Ron is an Adjunct Professor of Valuation with the University of Queensland Business School, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Senior Associate of FINSIA. Ron is also a former partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

He holds board appointments with a number of prominent Queensland private companies and undertakes private consulting on shareholder value and financial strategy. He has been a director of Trilby Misso since January 2008 an is an integral part of our Audit and Risk Committee.

Hayden Stephens

Non-Executive Director

Hayden was appointed to the Board of Trilby Misso as Executive Director in August 2010. Hayden is also currently a member of the National Executive at Slater and Gordon and General Manager for specialised areas of practice in NSW, ACT and Queensland. His positions of responsibility encompass roles such as convenor of the Operating Capital Management working group at Slater and Gordon and member of our Audit and Risk Committee at Trilby Misso.

With Slater and Gordon since 1993, Hayden was instrumental in the rapid growth of the Slater and Gordon Perth practice and has also worked in the Major Projects department assisting with the resolution of claims for people in class action litigation. Hayden completed a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts at Monash University and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1994, and the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1999.

Neil Fitzpatrick

Chief Financial Officer and
Company Secretary

Prior to joining Trilby Misso, Neil had 10 years experience in the management of law firms. He has also held senior executive positions in the Northern Territory Treasury, Northern Territory Department of Health and Community Services and Queensland Health. Neil has accounting qualifications, a Master of Management (majoring in change management and strategic leadership) and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

In addition to being our Chief Financial Officer, Neil is Company Secretary and Ethics Officer.

Michael Broughton

Practice Group Leader

Michael has been a member of the Trilby Misso team since 2001.  He manages and mentors a team of lawyers that focus on a particular category of claim within our specialist area of practice. He and his team are committed to achieving the best outcomes for their clients, and are highly skilled in their area of law. He recently assisted with the settlement of claims relating to two of Queensland’s most widely publicised cases within our area of practice. Michael has a Bachelor of Laws and is a member of the Queensland Law Society and the Australian Lawyers Alliance.

Katrina Haynes

HR Manager

Katrina has been employed at Trilby Misso since April 2004 and in the role of HR Manager since March 2005. Prior to this she worked as a Recruitment Consultant looking after a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from manufacturing through to professional services. Katrina possesses a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) and is a Certified Professional of the Australian Human Resources Institute. A qualified Workplace Trainer & Assessor and Workplace Health & Safety Officer, Katrina also holds membership with the Queensland Law Society. She is also a member of the People and Performance Committee.

As the HR Manager for Trilby Misso Lawyers, Katrina leads and mentors a small team of HR professionals working in close partnership with the Firm to effectively manage and develop all employees. Katrina has a proven background in leading, motivating and creating a culture that has driven the Firm to achieve its vision and goals. This has also led to the firm being recognised by many prestigious HR Awards.

Marissa Marschke

Marketing Manager

Marissa joined the Trilby Misso team in November 2006 bringing international experience from Marketing roles with Vodafone Australia and BP in the UK.

Marissa has completed a Bachelor of Business Management (Marketing) and is a Certified Practicing Marketer with the Australian Marketing Institute and an active member of The Queensland Association of Law Firm Marketers.

Since joining the Trilby Misso team, Marissa has grown the Trilby Misso brand, ensuring the quality reputation Trilby Misso enjoys today. A big believer in strategy development and market research, Marissa ensures that research backs-up the plans, ideas and advertising that Trilby Misso pursue.

Jodi Woodroff

Client Care Manager

Jodi joined the Trilby Misso team in March 2006, bringing with her years of experience from the Legal Aid Commission and a variety of customer service roles across many industries .

With her focus on 'Because we care' and dedication to the delivery of exceptional client service Jodi has become a mentor and trainer in her role as Client Care Manager. Jodi was instrumental with the initial start up of the Client Care team and continues the ongoing development of the area with carefully devised strategies, staff selection, client feedback, internal relationship building and process improvements.

As Client Care Manager Jodi acts as a liaison between clients, the Trilby Misso legal teams and the executive team, working to ensure exceptional client service is delivered from the moment we receive a call or a visit to one of our offices.
