Michael Andersen

Attracted to Trilby Misso’s reputation for genuinely helping ordinary Queenslanders, Michael joined the team in 2007. Michael is a member of both the Queensland Law Society and Australian Lawyers Alliance, boasts scholarly achievements including a Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma PLEAT, and has proven himself top-notch in the provision of quality legal assistance. With the help of a solid in-house team comprising of a paralegal, secretary and administrative assistant, Michael works hard to ensure his clients achieve extraordinary results. Outside the office, Michael also holds four National Powerlifting records which he has held since 1998.

Michael has been a member of the Trilby Misso team since 2001.  He manages and mentors a team of lawyers that focus on a particular category of claim within our specialist area of practice. He and his team are committed to achieving the best outcomes for their clients, and are highly skilled in their area of law. He recently assisted with the settlement of claims relating to two of Queensland’s most widely publicised cases within our area of practice. Ryan Christianson
Ryan Christianson

Ryan joined the Trilby Misso team in April 2007, and has successfully completed a Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. Ryan maintains an active involvement in the industry through memberships with the Queensland Law Society, and Australian Lawyers Alliance. Robyn Davies

Job satisfaction for Robyn is about helping to make a difference in the lives of the clients she represents. Armed with years of legal experience and graduating with a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts, as well as post graduate Diplomas in Legal Practice and in Education, Robyn is not one to do anything by halves. Robyn was an English teacher prior to becoming a lawyer, which may explain her interest in making the language of the law more simple and accessible to everyone. Robyn is also a member of both the Queensland Law Society, Women Lawyers Association (Queensland) and Australian Lawyers Alliance, and is assisted by her team of a paralegal, two secretaries and an administrative assistant.

Peter Hall
Peter Hall

Peter has been working at Trilby Misso since 2002.  He manages and mentors a team of lawyers with expertise in our specialist area of practice, and a passion for achieving the best results for our clients. Peter’s commitment to safeguarding the rights of individuals extends beyond the office. He is a committee member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance and is the chair of an industry group representing the interests of claimants that liaises with insurance companies and an insurance industry commission on a regular basis. Peter is also a member of the Queensland Law Society.

Kylie Hughes

Kylie has been involved in our specialist area of law since 2006. Affectionately known as Olly, Olamide has built a reputation for service with a smile since joining Trilby Misso in 2005. She enjoys helping people pursue their legal rights through the maze of complex laws. Lisa joined Trilby Misso in mid 2004 and is the firm’s Best Practice Advisor. She also manages and mentors a team of lawyers and undertakes claims within her own portfolio. Luke has worked in our area of law since 2001, and constantly refines his skills and knowledge to ensure his clients get the best possible results. He holds a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Business (HRM), Master of Laws and is enrolled in an MBA program. His advocacy for his clients' rights is pursued through his involvement as an Australian Lawyers Alliance Committee Member, and member of the Queensland Law Society. Graeme McFadyen
Graeme McFadyen

Chief Executive Officer

Graeme joined Trilby Misso in December 2004. Prior to becoming a part of our team, he had a wealth of experience as a professional manager, and had been managing other law firms since 1994.  Graeme is a past president of the Queensland division of the Australian Legal Practice Management Association and is a regular speaker at practice management seminars. Graeme is also a regular contributor to articles on practice management in the Queensland Law Society's Proctor magazine.

Neil Fitzpatrick
Neil Fitzpatrick

Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining Trilby Misso, Neil had 10 years experience in the management of law firms.  He has also held senior executive positions in the Northern Territory Treasury, Northern Territory Department of Health and Community Services and Queensland Health.  Neil is a qualified accountant and is currently undertaking an MBA in Change Management and Strategic Leadership. In addition to being our Chief Financial Officer, Neil is the Trilby Misso Ethics Officer.

Ron Higham
Ron Higham

Chairman and Non-Executive Director

Ron is an Adjunct Professor of Valuation with the University of Queensland Business School, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Senior Associate of FINSIA. Ron is also a former partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds board appointments with a number of prominent Queensland private companies and undertakes private consulting on shareholder value and financial strategy. He has been a director of Trilby Misso since January 2008.

Hilton Misso
Hilton Misso

Director

Hilton has been a practising lawyer since 1971, and a partner at Trilby Misso since 1974, managing the company’s Redcliffe office until 2002.  During the mid-1990s, the office gradually began to shift focus from general practice to our current area of practice. The Redciffe office closed in 2006 when the company moved all operations to our current offices at 288 Edward Street in Brisbane. However, Hilton still maintains close associations with the community, businesses and the political scene in the Redcliffe area.

Bill Andrews
Bill Andrews

Director

Bill joined Trilby Misso in 1976 as an articled clerk and was admitted as a solicitor in 1977. He specialised in commercial and conveyancing work at the company’s Strathpine office until 2006, when the office was closed and operations were centralised in the Brisbane CBD. Bill provides advice to Trilby Misso in all areas of corporate law.  He is a director of Queensland Racing, a member of the Mt Olivet Race Day Committee and is a director of a number of private companies.

Nigel Munt
Nigel Munt

Executive Director

Nigel was instrumental in Trilby Misso’s decision to focus on our current area of practice in the mid-1990s. After gaining his Queensland Law Society Specialist Accreditation in our specialist area of law, he opened a small office in the Brisbane CBD to accommodate the growing needs of our clients.  That office has now grown to be the firm’s principal place of business with over 128 staff.  He continues to provide insightful guidance to our team of dedicated lawyers.

Tony Hanmer
Tony Hanmer

Non-Executive Director

Tony joined the board of directors in January 2008. He was previously a Senior Vice President and Director of McCann Erickson Worldwide, where he was also responsible for 29 offices in 17 countries as Regional Director Asia and South Pacific. With 25 years’ leadership experience, and a strong track record of acquisitions and leveraging new technologies to build competitive organisations, Tony advises Trilby Misso on strategy, marketing and research. Tony sits on boards of numerous private companies, a not-for-profit organisation and on a government board.
