Trilby Misso one of Australia's best places to work

24 June 2010

Leading Queensland legal firm Trilby Misso Lawyers has been named one of the nation's best places to work after being listed among BRW's Top 50 Best Places to Work.

Trilby Misso CEO Graeme McFadyen said the family friendly working hours and the introduction of a values and development policy had significantly improved staff morale.

"As a firm we want to deliver outstanding service and you cannot do that without highly engaged and motivated workforce," Mr McFadyen said.

BRW's Top 50 Best Places to Work list was based on research conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute Australia, with almost 17,000 employees from 160 companies surveyed.

Trilby Misso came 32nd on the BRW list and was the second highest placed law firm nationwide, behind Sydney firm Swaab Attorneys which was 13th overall.

The BRW listing follows Trilby Misso's accreditation as a 2009 Hewitt Best Employer in Australia and New Zealand.

Hewitt measures the level of staff engagement through a series of on-line surveys, focus groups and interviews.

"Some years ago we recognised that to deliver on our promise of exceptional client service we needed to develop a deep culture of trust and mutual support and everything has come together extraordinarily well," Mr McFadyen said.

Trilby Misso also won the 2009 Panasonic Queensland Medium Business award as part of the Telstra business excellence awards.
