Trilby Misso management changes

20 April 2011

Leading Queensland law firm Trilby Misso has announced some major changes to its management structure following its acquisition by Slater & Gordon Limited last year.

CEO Graeme McFadyen will be taking on a new role with Slater & Gordon to become the new General Manager Operations (Private Clients and Family Law).

Trilby Misso Principal Lawyer and Executive Director Lisa Rennie will step up into the role of General Manager Trilby Misso Lawyers, replacing Mr McFadyen.

Luke Short, Trilby Misso Principal Lawyer takes up a new role in Slater & Gordon as Practice Group Leader – PI (Regional Queensland) with responsibility to grow the group's North Queensland practice in particular.

The new appointments are effective from July 1 2011.

Trilby Misso will continue to operate under its own brand and its own management team with some integration to deliver the best results for the combined Slater & Gordon group.

"We want to maximise the combined penetration of the two practices in Queensland" Mr McFadyen said. "The redeployment of some of the Trilby Misso management team to support Slater & Gordon will allow this to occur."

Mr McFadyen attributes Trilby Misso's outstanding success to the extraordinary can-do culture of the firm and the determination of the staff to provide their clients with simply the best service. "It has been a wonderful journey for me" he said. "While excited by the new role I am sad to leave Trilby Misso but I do so knowing it is in safe hands".
